Security Systems Testing
A security system is only as good as its last check. We assess, test and check systems that are already installed, so that an owner knows what works, what does not, and what to ask of the company that installed it.
What We Check
Intrusion detection and alarm systems. Video surveillance: cameras, recording, retention and image quality under real conditions, including at night. Access control and door entry. Intercom and gate systems. Emergency and panic devices. The connections between these systems and the rest of the building. And the records they produce, because a system that works but keeps no usable record will not help you when it matters.
How A Check Works
We agree the scope with you and ask for the documentation that exists. On site we inspect the installation and test each device and each signal path, rather than sampling. We confirm what actually arrives where it is supposed to arrive — at the panel, at the recorder, on a phone. You then receive a written report. If faults are corrected, we re-test what was corrected.
What You Receive
A written report: a register of the devices found, the findings ranked by seriousness, photographs, and a plain list of what works, what does not, and what is missing. The report is written so that you can hand it to an installer, a developer or an insurer without translating it first.
What We Do Not Do
We do not install security systems, we do not monitor them, and we do not provide guarding. Installation and repair are carried out by licensed companies. Where we find a fault we describe it precisely enough for your installer to act on it.
When This Is Worth Doing
Before buying a property. At handover of a new building. After a change of tenant or of staff with access. After an incident. Or at an interval agreed with you, because detectors drift, cameras lose focus and recordings quietly stop being kept.
